Update Caller ID
The Caller ID number entered will be used when calling recipients when possible. When it is not possible to use this number the default caller ID number of 651-855-5000 with the name ALERTCAST will be delivered.
The caller ID name displayed on the recipient's phone is the corresponding directory information for the number. This is set via the owner of the number phone and not by Actual Software Inc. It is entirely possible to have no name associated with a number - this is quite common. To change or set a name, you should contact your telephone service provider.
Caller ID on cell phones never includes a name because this feature is not supported by the cell phone networks. On most cell phones this can be circumvented by entering a name/number in the recipient(s) address book.
Some landline telephone interchanges are not very smart about caller ID and may strip it off. You can contact support at support@alertcast.com for help trouble shooting this issue.
US and Canada caller ID must be 10 digits (no leading 1). International caller ID should start with a + sign (example: +330123456789).
